What is hydro cutting and why is it called cold cutting?
Waterjet cold cutting uses high pressure water, typically with abrasive for steel, as a flame-free alternative to thermal cutting. The method avoids a thermal cutting process. It does not itself establish that an asset or its surrounding atmosphere is safe for work.
When should a plant consider waterjet cold cutting?
Consider it where a thermal cutting method is unsuitable and the proposed equipment can reach the required cut.
