Can tanks in hydrocarbon service be worked on safely?
Yes — that is what waterjet methods are for. Water carries no ignition source, so cleaning and even cutting proceed without the hot-work risk that torches and grinders bring to tanks that hold or held fuel. Dezu supervised a door-sheet cut on a crude oil tank in Guam converting to ULSD service, cut cold with the terminal operating.
How does Dezu reduce confined-space entry?
Robotic tools do the highest-risk work. Remote-operated equipment — including VertiDrive magnetic crawlers that climb tank walls, from the line Dezu distributes exclusively — puts machines on the steel and keeps people out of the tank for as much of the scope as the job allows.
