What was the problem?
A drainage line serving a VIP area at a major airport terminal had clogged fully. A fully clogged drain is not a slow drain — nothing passes, and everything the line was built to carry away has to go somewhere else. In a passenger terminal, that is a problem the facility needs solved quickly. The airport's operator engaged Dezu to restore the line.
Why hydro jetting instead of a declogging auger?
The scope called for removal of the pipe buildup using high pressure water and suitable nozzles. Mechanical and waterjet methods address different conditions; the useful comparison is the deposit removed and the accepted result. The correct method for another line depends on its geometry, access and condition.
What was the result?
The drainage line was cleared by hydro jetting. This is a record of the delivered cleaning result, not an assessment of every upstream or downstream cause of future flooding.
What does the follow-up record establish?
The public record reports no repeat request for the same problem as of the 2026 review. That does not establish continuous monitoring, later maintenance history or permanent prevention. Repeat flooding needs a review of deposit recurrence, pipe condition and system capacity as well as the cleaning history.
