What was the problem?
A drainage line serving a VIP area at a major airport terminal had clogged fully. A fully clogged drain is not a slow drain — nothing passes, and everything the line was built to carry away has to go somewhere else. In a passenger terminal, that is a problem the facility needs solved quickly. The airport's operator engaged Dezu to restore the line.
Why hydro jetting instead of a declogging auger?
A declogging auger opens a hole through the blockage. The buildup around the hole stays on the pipe wall, the flow area stays a fraction of the pipe's design bore, and the remaining deposit keeps catching what flows past — so the blockage returns, and the declogging service returns with it. Hydro jetting removes the deposit from the pipe wall itself: high pressure water delivered through nozzles that scour the full circumference, restoring the line toward its design bore instead of tunneling through the obstruction. That is the difference between opening a drain and restoring one, and it is why Dezu treats a fully clogged line as a restoration scope, not a declogging call.
What was the result?
The line was cleared in full by hydro jetting and the VIP area got its drainage back — the existing pipe restored in place, with nothing foreign left in the line. The harder alternatives for a line that far gone — excavating and replacing the run, or accepting declogging as a recurring cost — never had to be taken.
