Why did the plant need emergency cleaning?

Differential-pressure concerns after restart prompted the plant to call for further cleaning of its brine pipelines and heat exchangers. The pipelines had not been part of the earlier tube-cleaning scope. The new campaign had to address both pipework and exchanger tubes while following the plant’s changing access and equipment priorities.

How did Dezu tackle the pipeline and exchanger work?

Dezu mobilized waterjet equipment and crews for pipeline descaling and exchanger re-cleaning. Work began on the brine pipeline, then shifted to priority vaporizer cleaning before completing the preheater. The team returned to pipeline and vaporizer work as the remaining areas became available.

Handling both applications in the same campaign allowed Dezu to follow the plant’s priorities across connected equipment, through cleaning and final flow checks.

How did the team respond when site priorities changed?

Day and night coverage supported the campaign as work moved between the pipeline, vaporizer and preheater. The crew adjusted to available access and site direction, completing the remaining pipeline work and final vaporizer cleaning passes before closeout.

A pipeline section cancelled by the plant was removed from the work package. The team completed the pipeline sections that remained in scope along with the vaporizer and preheater cleaning.

What did Dezu complete for the plant?

Dezu completed the agreed pipeline and exchanger cleaning package. The vaporizer received overall flow-test acceptance, with the remaining clogged positions identified and accepted by the plant. The result was a completed emergency cleaning campaign across multiple assets, with the remaining restrictions clear at handover.

Flow-test acceptance included residual clogged tubes; it did not mean every tube was fully clear. The campaign established cleaning completion, without a measured claim of restored plant output or a confirmed diagnosis of the original pressure concern.
