Rental can let you test whether a proposed pump and tooling package suits your actual asset, deposit and access conditions before committing to a purchase. When should ownership enter the comparison?
Consider ownership when the work repeats and your team can support the equipment between jobs. Ask whether the expected workload is sufficiently defined, whether the selected package fits those applications and who will operate, maintain and store it. Which costs belong in the comparison?
Compare complete proposals over the same period and expected workload. For rental, establish equipment and operator charges, transport, included accessories, site provisions and the treatment of extensions or standby. For ownership, establish the purchase package, training, maintenance, spares, consumables, transport and storage. Include operating costs consistently on both sides. These are comparison questions, not published Dezu prices or contract terms.
Avoid presenting a daily hire price beside a purchase price as if they cover the same responsibilities. Unknown utilization, deposit conditions and downtime can change the result. Use the buyer's verified cost and workload information instead of an assumed savings percentage.
Does renting with an operator replace a cleaning contract?
The scope still needs to say who is responsible for the result. Decide whether the requirement is equipment access, an equipment-and-operator arrangement, or a defined cleaning service.
