How do the three methods differ?

Hydrojetting, hydroblasting and hydrodemolition are common joined spellings. Waterjetting and water blasting are broader terms. Some suppliers use hydro blasting for concrete removal too, so confirm the intended application instead of relying on the label.
What do actual Dezu jobs show?
Pipe deposits and changing access
At a fiber-cement manufacturing plant, Dezu cleaned slurry and process-water lines in August and September 2026. The September crew completed its assigned and added scope, moving to an available work area when access changed. The planning issue was access to each released line and its cleaning requirement. Deck coating removal

What should a quotation define?
Start with the asset, location, photographs or drawings, material to remove and condition to preserve. Include pipe diameter and bends for internal cleaning, coating and surface requirements for blasting, or the engineer's removal boundary for concrete work.

Are hydro jetting and hydro blasting the same?
The terms overlap across the waterjet industry. On Dezu's service pages, hydro jetting refers mainly to internal pipe, tube and drainage cleaning, while hydro blasting refers mainly to surface cleaning and coating removal. Specify the asset, deposit and required result when comparing contractors, because the service name alone does not define the work.
Is hydro demolition another name for hydrodemolition?
Yes. Hydro demolition and hydrodemolition describe concrete removal using high pressure water. A scope may require removal of deteriorated concrete or sound concrete to a specified boundary. The repair design, concrete condition, access and required treatment of reinforcement determine the proposed method and checks.
Can pressure alone tell us which waterjet method to use?
No. The proposed pressure and flow must suit the tool, material and required result. Pipe cleaning, surface preparation and concrete removal can use overlapping pressure ranges. Define the application first, then review the complete pump, hose, tool and operating arrangement with the contractor.
Which method costs less?
These methods serve different jobs, so a single price comparison is misleading. Compare quotations for the same asset, deposit or removal boundary, access, containment, water and waste responsibilities, acceptance checks and work window.
